"SOMEONE I LOVE NEEDS A CURE . . . COME WHAT MAY"
Someone I love needs a cure. "Like a thief in the night, it slithers in . . . passing quietly, as it purges all warm-hearted, loving, memories, leaving behind an empty void, never to return as it absconds before daylight."
"Alzheimer's disease" is cruel and merciless. There is "no cure" for it . . . yet! Estimates vary, but there are currently "five million Americans" who suffer from "Alzheimer's disease," and that number is growing exponentially. No person is immune, no family is immune, and that includes my family.
My wife was diagnosed with "Alzheimer's disease" four years ago at the young age of 52. What was supposed to be the best years of our lives, has been anything but. Everday, my family prays for a "cure" and hopefully someday, that "cure" will arrive swiftly and with great results.
Be a friend to someone with "Alzheimer's disease," Please help support the cause in any way you can. You never know, someday you could be experiencing and going through, the same turmoil that my family is presently dealing with. Let me be the first to tell you . . . "It is a very humbling, heartbreaking, disease, to watch someone you love go through."
Every day is a new challenge, a new struggle, but "love" is our guide and we follow it blindly to the ends of the earth.
Won't you please join our quest for a cure, please donate today!
As a dedication to my wife, I have put together a picture, carousel, filled with precious memories of people and places she loves. Accompanying the carousel will be a beautiful and appropriate song called "Come What May." Just hit "play" on both!
