"Why Is There An Easter Bunny And What's Up With Dying Eggs?"

Happy day after Easter to all, I hope you had a great day. This post is kind of off the beaten path, but I thought some of you might like to know and understand what an "Easter Bunny" and "Egg Dying" have to do with the resurrection of "Jesus Christ." It occurred to me as I was dying eggs with my granddaughter that I had absolutely no idea how this tradition came about. Being the curious individual that I am, I did a little research . . . and now I wish I hadn't. You'll understand what I mean after you read my eggsplanation.

I was born and raised  a "Catholic" in a big French/Irish Catholic family, but turned in my Catholic membership card many, many, years ago. It wasn't because of the members of the congregation, but because of their archaic doctrine, statue worship and the rampant spread of pedophilia. I woke up and realized it was such a hypocritical, ritualistic, religion that I no longer wanted to be a part of. Now, just because I did not renew my membership to this wholesale, religious, organization, does not mean I don't believe in God or Jesus. I just choose to worship in my own way and there's nothing wrong with that.

One of my insanely mind-blowing discoveries was how the celebration of "Easter" really has absolutely nothing to do with the resurrection of the "Christ" I was taught about, but is a complete reflection of an ancient "Pagan" myth. If you're a Catholic, I'm sure you'll be able to see the unbelievable similarities and it will make you scratch your head and say; "Shut the f..ront door!" It's really kind of sad because in their hearts, most "Christians" who celebrate "Easter" believe they are praising the rebirth of "Christ," but in actuality are partying on a day steeped in satanic rituals and false gods. And what about those dyed "Easter Eggs," huh? Let me eggsplain . . .

For the sake of time, I'm giving you the super condensed version of this myth, but feel free to research it on your own. Ready? "Easter," the celebration of the resurrection of "Christ," sunrise services, dyed eggs, stories about bunny rabbits and a "ham" dinner. Is it truly the day of his resurrection filled with strange customs? Yeah, I'm thinking not. Anyway, "Christians" were not the first people to celebrate Easter. Let's rewind history back to the time of the Sumerians . . .  "Ishtar," which is pronounced "Easter" was a day that commemorated the resurrection of one of their gods that they called "Tammuz", who was believed to be the only begotten son of the moon-goddess and the sun-god. You with me so far?

"Nimrod" was the grandson of "Noahs" son "Ham," Ham had a son named Cush who married a woman named Semiramis. Cush and Semiramis then had a son named him "Nimrod." When Nimrod's father kicked the bucket, he did a totally sick thing and married his mother. He became a very powerful King. "Nimrod" became Mr. popular and a god-man to the people. Semiramis, his wife and mother, (totally gross) became the powerful Queen of ancient Babylon. "Nimrod" was eventually killed by a hater, and his body was cut in pieces and sent to various parts of his kingdom.
As it goes, Semiramis had all of his parts gathered, except for one part that could not be found. (guess which part was missing?)That missing part was his privates. Semiramis claimed that Nimrod could not come back to life without it and told the people of "Babylon" that Nimrod had ascended to the sun and was now to be called "Baal", the sun god.

Semiramis began to create a mystery religion, and with the help of "Satan," she set herself up as a goddess. (what a conceited witch huh?) I digress . . . Semiramis claimed that she was immaculately conceived. (sound familiar) She taught that the moon was a goddess that went through a 28 day cycle and ovulated when full. She further claimed that she came down from the moon in a giant moon egg that fell into the Euphrates River. This was referred to as "Ishtar's Egg" or "Easter Egg" This was to have happened at the time of the first full moon after the spring equinox.

Semiramis became known as "Ishtar" which is pronounced "Easter."  Ishtar soon became pregnant and claimed that it was the rays of the sun-god "Baal" that caused her to conceive. She had a son and named him "Tammuz." Tammuz was said to be especially fond of wunny babbits, I mean bunny rabbits, and they became sacred in the ancient religion. (Easter Bunny) Because "Tammuz" was believed to be the son of the sun-god, Baal,  Tammuz, like his supposed father, became a hunter. Tammuz ended up being killed by a wild pig. (talk about bad luck)

Queen Ishtar told the people that Tammuz was now ascended to his father, Baal, and that the two of them would be with the worshipers in the sacred candle or lamp flame as Father, Son and Spirit.(are you catching on yet?) Ishtar, who was now worshiped as the "Mother of God and Queen of Heaven", continued to build her mystery religion. The queen told the worshipers that when Tammuz was killed by the wild pig, some of his blood fell on the stump of an evergreen tree, and the stump grew into a full new tree overnight. This made the evergreen tree sacred by the blood of Tammuz.

She also proclaimed a forty day period of time (Lent?) of sorrow each year prior to the anniversary of the death of Tammuz. During this time, no meat was to be eaten. Worshipers were to meditate upon the sacred mysteries of Baal and Tammuz, and to make the sign of the "T" in front of their hearts as they worshiped. They also ate sacred cakes with the marking of a "T" or cross on the top. Every year, on the first Sunday after the first full moon after the spring equinox, a celebration was made. It was Ishtar's (Easter) Sunday and was celebrated with rabbits and eggs. Ishtar also proclaimed that because Tammuz was killed by a pig, that a pig must be eaten on that Sunday. Can you say "ham dinner?" Sadly, the people also sacrificed an infant by decapitation and dipped their eggs in the blood therefore dying them red. In some Easter traditions today, eggs can only be dyed the color red.

By now you should have made the connection that paganism has infiltrated the "Christian" churches, and this paganism came in by way of the Roman Catholic System. (I knew it all sounded so eerily familiar) The truth is that Easter has nothing whatsoever to do with the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. The truth is that the forty days of Lent, eggs, rabbits, hot cross buns and the Easter ham have everything to do with the ancient pagan religion of Mystery Babylon. These are all anti-Christ activities! Satan is a master deceiver, and has filled the lives of well-meaning, professing Christians with idolatry. These customs of Easter honor Baal, who is also Satan, and is still worshiped as the "Rising Sun" and his house is the "House of the Rising Sun." How many churches will have "sunrise services" on Ishtar's (Easter) day and face the rising sun in the East? I know as a kid I went to many of these services with my parents. How many will use colored eggs and rabbit stories, as they did in ancient Babylon. (I just dyed eggs with my granddaughter the other night . . . oops) Hey, don't judge me!

So there you have it . . . the true story of how "Easter" came to be. And so ends your history lesson for today.
