CHAKRAS
WHEELS OF ENERGY
What is a Chakra? The word Chakra is Sanskrit for "Wheel," or " Wheels of Energy." They are invisible vortexes that, when awakened, spin like pinwheels of energy and resonate to different energy frequencies. Next, they sense and distribute PRANA (life force energy), to the physical body as many different emotions, sensations and thoughts. When they spin correctly, they clear blocked pathways, that hinder "spiritual flow."
There are 7 major Chakras which act as doorways for life force energy called PRANA. We also have many minor Chakras that extend beyond the major ones too.
When one or all of a person’s Chakras are out of alignment and not spinning in unison or harmony, it can, and will, cause great stress, on the physical body, manifesting itself as disease and sickness, causing physical, mental and emotional damage.
That’s why it’s always a great idea to take the time to make sure your Chakras are in balance not out of balance. It’s actually a simple process that doesn’t take a great deal of time to do and can be done anywhere, and at any time, of the day.
Of course, you can spend longer amounts of time balancing your Chakra's, if you so desire too, but I am going to teach you the ten minute alignment and clearing.

Each of the 7 major Chakras have both a name and color associated with it. There are also other associations such as planets, metals, food, angels, just to mention a few as well as anatomical and emotional connections and divine and physical properties. Here is a list of the 7 major Chakras, where they are located, their colors and their primary functions;
1. ROOT Base of spine Red Grounding and Security
2. SACRAL Below navel Orange Relationships and Emotions
3. NAVEL Solar Plexus Yellow Energy and Vitality
4. HEART Heart Green Balance, Love and Connection
5. THROAT Neck-Throat Blue Communication and Healing
6. THIRD EYE Third eye (in between your eyes) Indigo Intuition and Understanding
7. CROWN Top of Head Violet or White Enlightenment and Transcendence
Just like a battery with a positive pole (Pingala, masculine) and a minus pole (Ida, feminine), PRANA energy enters the body in two streams and circulates through the body in a system of (Nadis) meridians.

Clearing and Balancing the Chakras
The Ten Minute; "Smelling The Soup" Chakra Balance
Smelling the Soup (that’s what I call it!)- Imagine that your Chakras are flowers or pinwheels and each one represents a Chakra color. The motion of your hands for this balancing mimics that of someone standing over a pot of soup or stew and using your hand to lift the aroma to the nose.
It’s like a small circular motion as you lift your hand. This motion unites the Chakras together and gets them all spinning in the same direction and in perfect unison. Before beginning the clearing/balancing, you will need to get yourself into a comfortable position as well as activating your PRANA/Chi (Life Force Energy) which is quite simple to do.

Before beginning the clearing/balancing, you will need to get yourself into a comfortable position as well as activating your PRANA/Chi (Life Force Energy) which is quite simple to do.
Once you have settled into a comfortable position, vigorously rub your hands together for about 15 seconds. This will activate your Chi and generate a positive electrical charge. Close your eyes and take a couple of relaxing, slow, deep breaths, inhaling through your nose and slowly exhaling through your mouth.
Using your beautiful imagination, picture all your colored Chakras (pinwheels/flowers) from numbers 1 through 7 all in alignment. Begin by placing either your right or left hand above and over your 1st Chakra (Root) and gently bounce the Chi from your hand up and down several times. (Just like bouncing a ball, but without making physical contact with the body)

The object is to transfer energy back and forth and then lift it up to the next level. Next, using the “smelling soup” motion, lift your hand and energy up and above the 2nd Chakra and repeat the bouncing motion really feeling the energy being transferred.
As you picture each Chakra (and color), get them spinning in the same direction in happy, peaceful, unison. Repeat the “Smell the Soup,” lift and bounce motion all the way to your 7th Chakra making sure to work on each Chakra tying it together with the previous one.
After reaching and completing your 7th Chakra, reverse the direction of only the “Smell the Soup” motion (not the direction the Chakras are spinning, they should all be spinning in the same direction!) making sure your Chakras are all tied together as one big happy family.

After completing the 1st Chakra, place your hands together as if you were praying, bow your head and say “Thank You," Namaste! Now you’re ready to begin your day, go to sleep, go to work, ease some stress or even do it because you just felt the need to, any time is totally acceptable!
You don’t have to spend hours at this, ten minutes is all it takes, and I’m sure you have an extra ten minutes out of your day to spare for some healthy realigning.
Namaste and Blessings to all!
